Study on application of radio frequency identification technology for deer farm management
The aim of this study is applying radio frequency identification (RFID) and developing management system for deer farm. RFID ear tags which included general data of deer, vaccination, weight, estrus data, velvet production and frozen semen information data were tagged on stags. Operators could use electronic panel to load data from ear tags and the data would be read and passed to the computer by wireless network. The results showed the data of ear tags could be read by the electronic panel when stags were running and immediately passed to the computer system.
