Core Responsibilities
The Northern Region Branch comprises four departments:Dairy Cattle Science, Poultry Science, Animal Applications,and Livestock Extension. Primary research focuses on animals such as dairy cattle, geese, and pigs.
Research Focus
>Development and improvement of breeding and management models for dairy cattle, pigs, and geese.
>Establishment of a TAF-certified milk laboratory to analyze milk components and monitor dairy cattle health.
>Development of smart livestock farming systems to enhance management efficiency and disease diagnostics.
>Creation of a breeding information database for disease-resistant traits in breeding stock, advancing genetic improvement.
>In response to climate adaptation strategies, research on the recycling and utilization of livestock wastewater and low-carbon farming models.
