Core Responsibilities

The Eastern Region Branch comprises four deprtments: Aquatic Poultry Science Division, Terrestrial Poultry Science Division, Animal Applications Division, and Livestock Extension Division. The primary research animals include ducks, mini pigs, chickens, goats, water buffalo, and ostriches.

Research focus

>Research on breeding management and reproductive improvement for ducks,chickens, and mini pigs.

>Development of smart production systems for livestock housing and studies on waste recycling.

>Off-site breeding and genetic resource preservation for water buffalo, goats, and ostriches.

>Research, development, and promotion of technology and techniques for the livestock industry.
