The Southern Region Branch consists of four departments: Herbivorous Animal Division, Swine Science Division, Animal Applications Division, and Livestock Extension Division. Primary research animals include beef cattle, goats, deer, and black pigs.

>Research on breeding management and improvement for beef cattle, goats, black pigs, and deer.

>Study on the production and improvement of forage crops.

>Selection and specialized feeding of black pigs.

> Development of smart production systems and waste management research.
