The extension work is mainly conducted at the headquarters of the Institute.  Eight subordinates units of this Institute located island wide are also combined and responsible for the local extension work according to their location.  Mutual benefits can be obtained through the contact with farmers, such as extension of research results and response to farmers' opinion in their responsible area.
